We shared a long lunch and he revealed that he had written a lot of poetry, yet wouldn’t ever share it. I asked why, thinking it might serve release of whatever angels or demons owned it. “Its my … self. I wouldn’t ever want to read it to anyone.” Yet he is an indomitable guy, all full of what such a person is believed to be.
